BetterFaith For our partners

A note for our creative partners

A guide for your faith, wherever you are.

Thank you for helping people find BetterFaith. This is a short introduction to who we are, what we do, and what we care about, so that when you talk about us in your own words, you have what you need to get it right.

Faith was never meant to grow alone.

Who we are

The first place for online spiritual care.

BetterFaith connects people with vetted pastors and biblical counselors who meet them online, wherever they are with God. A guide listens, opens Scripture with them, prays for them by name, and walks with them as their faith grows. Every guide is credentialed, background checked, and shares the historic Christian faith, and each person is matched to one on theology, need, and personality.

Most people do not need another app or another program. They need someone wise in their corner who knows their name and stays with them. That is what we built.

Faith was never meant to grow alone.

What we do

A real person, by video, for as long as you need one.

Guidance happens one on one by video inside BetterFaith. A person is matched with a guide rather than left to search on their own, and the relationship continues over time instead of ending after a single conversation.

Face to face, online

Real conversations by video, from anywhere. The same person week after week, who comes to know your story.

A guide who fits

Pastors and biblical counselors, credentialed and background checked. You are matched on theology, need, and the way you relate.

Room to grow between

Scripture to sit with, a focus for the week, and resources chosen for where you actually are. The relationship keeps going after the call ends.

Who it is for

You are welcome here, wherever you are with God.

Hurt, hopeful, certain, curious, far away, or walking with him for decades. You do not have to have it figured out, and you do not have to share our convictions to come and find a guide.

Some people arrive looking for God for the first time. Some are finding their way back after years away. Some have followed him a long time and want to go deeper. There is room here for all of it, and the door stays open.

What we care about

The gospel is the main thing.

BetterFaith is built on the good news of Jesus. God made us for himself. We turned away. Jesus, fully God and fully human, lived the life we could not live, died in our place, and rose again, defeating death. Anyone who trusts him is forgiven, brought home, and given new life. We hold that plainly and without apology.

We are broadly Christian, holding what the church has held in common across two thousand years, and we leave the rest of the conversation where it belongs. The questions faithful believers have worked through over the centuries are not ours to settle, and we stay out of partisan politics on every side. We do not pick a team.

The conversations we leave to the church, not to us:

The mode of baptism The Lord's Supper The end times Spiritual gifts Church government Calvinism and Arminianism Worship style Politics

You should never be able to guess how we vote. You should always be able to tell that we love you and point you to Christ.

Alongside the church

We are not a church, and we have no intent to become one.

We do not ordain, we do not run a denomination, and we do not settle doctrine. We are a company of people who believe the gospel and want to make it easier for someone to find a wise guide who will walk with them.

Wherever we can, that walk leads a person deeper into a real, local church, not away from one. BetterFaith is built to support the work pastors are already doing and to reach people in the gap between Sundays.

On therapy

BetterFaith is not therapy.

BetterFaith is spiritual care, discipleship, and biblical counseling, rooted in Scripture and the gospel. It is not therapy or clinical treatment, and we do not compare it to therapy. Our guides walk with people spiritually. They are pastors and biblical counselors, not licensed therapists, and they do not diagnose, treat, or bill insurance.

We have real respect for the good work that psychology and licensed care do. We care about the whole person the way Jesus did, and when something a person carries needs a licensed professional, we say so plainly and help them find one. Being honest about what we are, and what we are not, is part of the care.

What we hold firm

Three lines we do not cross.

Most of this page is context we trust you to carry in your own voice. These three are different. They are fixed, they are true everywhere we work, and we ask you to hold them as firmly as we do.

We do not serve minors.

BetterFaith is for adults who are 18 or older. Please do not point the invitation at anyone younger.

We do not support conversion therapy.

We do not provide or endorse conversion therapy in any form. This holds regardless of who is asking or where they live.

We are not therapy.

BetterFaith is spiritual care and biblical counseling, never clinical treatment, and we never present it as a substitute for professional care.

The words we use

How we say it, if it helps.

You know your audience far better than we do, so there is no script here. If it is useful, this is simply the language we tend to reach for about ourselves. We talk about spiritual care, discipleship, and biblical counseling. We talk about guides who walk with you, pray with you, and open Scripture with you. We talk about meeting people right where they are.

The one place we stay careful is the word therapy. Because BetterFaith is not therapy, we do not call it that or compare it to it, and we keep clinical language like patient, diagnosis, and treatment out of how we describe the care. Everything else, say it the way only you can.

A couple of practical notes

The small stuff, kept simple.

If we are compensating you, a clear label like #ad or "paid partnership" keeps everything honest and keeps you square with the FTC. That is the whole of it, and we will always tell you what applies to your agreement.

When you share something personal

People sometimes reach out when they are hurting. BetterFaith is not a crisis service, so it helps to keep the 988 Suicide and Crisis Lifeline visible whenever a story touches something heavy, so no one in a real emergency mistakes a conversation with a guide for immediate help.

Where we are

In select states, and growing.

BetterFaith is open to adults in the United States, in a set of states today with more coming as we grow. The simplest thing to tell people is that they can check availability when they sign up. It saves everyone the disappointment of a promise we cannot keep yet.

Working together

Whatever you need, just ask.

Reach out anytime, and reach out early. We would rather answer a question up front than have you guess, and we read everything personally.
